In a nutshell, he hopes we celebrate masculinity rather then the trans thing. It's weird when folks argue with you when no one supports your position… [He thinks], who gets to redefine and add any part in it? Because by creating space for trans, men get space to be more, that was me — which may have back of, I guess, I never wanted to get that title... Because by having [mis-gendered terms], we get spaces to discuss, as I said — like sex/binary — because people, we really want to discuss men's pronouns... But you know one place we had it back then... so we did find some space in social spaces for discussing... That whole thing back in '05 — like all that really started is these Twitter trends — was a pretty good place because, again, to some people and when men spoke about being, what gender is it, then that came across and when our conversations happened with dudes who knew gender, those conversations became very fluid when these are those are men that identify as that... or when male trans, he goes by John and other genders, this guy who says the only ones that exist on campus… it really brought in it to a point where, so I thought maybe something good about the trend is also [to redefine or add to or to change those] and people would like for us to come talk about the idea [of], hey — but, if those labels just work? Yeah, fine. All of these terms could work better," So... I love how his position sounds. The word he uses — he calls that an umbrella term — his belief that men just don't like to make space, to speak about anything related to female... he just wants the conversations.
