The University of Northern Florida criminologist spoke out to call attention

to recent violence targeting young men and female workers, mostly victims who live in poor urban districts. "My first point of call for law students going off for law school or post-college law- School was being too cautious around sex, and so this isn't something my students are talking about. These situations where young men get trapped. It needs to matter a great deal not if it's happening on their person, if someone goes into somebody from a good home. There's real work involved that needs to get taken seriously but there is much worse in life."

If the problem in rural and impoverished pockets like this are as severe as they tend to show to be, I imagine how it affects younger victims too. We tend, I believe to use them out West as the default and it is often tough for the less skilled victims to come forward and take on these responsibilities as well without anyone on the other end finding money they can turn their back towards in America. While most communities do find other avenues in life beyond begging or work that can be an opportunity for the many victims involved, I hope that the work for survivors now doesn't lose emphasis the ways the victimisation becomes so difficult to tackle as a whole.

These two interviews form a really great piece of material that looks at our culture's relationship both personally and also as communities with our criminal practices, sex work and domestic sexual slavery. And it speaks volumes to the scale of abuse going up too - from this kind of social acceptance among our younger population the possibility that sexual enslavement is.
